FAQ

What is Hovenia?

A liver supplement for the nights you drink, built around DHM (dihydromyricetin), a flavonoid from the Hovenia dulcis tree. Each 1,000 mg serving is two vegan capsules. That's it.

Is this a hangover cure?

No. We don't make that claim, and the FDA wouldn't let us if we wanted to. Hovenia supports your liver's natural enzyme function and antioxidant pathways. It does not cure, treat, or prevent hangovers — and we won't say otherwise.

When should I take it?

Two capsules — one 1,000 mg serving — about 30 minutes before your first drink. That's the whole night's dose; no second round before bed. The DHM supports your liver through the overnight window while you sleep.

Why 1,000 mg?

Most budget DHM supplements use 300–350 mg per serving. Clinical research uses 600–1,200 mg. We dose at 1,000 mg because that's where the evidence points — not because it's cheaper to underdose.

How is Hovenia different from Cheers or No Days Wasted?

Same science, different price. Cheers is $2.92/serving. No Days Wasted is $3.13. Hovenia is $1/serving at the same 1,000 mg dose. Lean DTC, no retail markup, no licensing deals.

Will this make me drink more?

No, and please don't try. Hovenia supports your liver — it doesn't change how alcohol affects judgment, motor control, or sleep quality. Drink the way you'd drink without it.

What about non-drinking days?

DHM has antioxidant and liver-supportive properties beyond alcohol metabolism. Daily use is fine, but most customers take it situationally. Whichever fits your routine.

Is it vegan / clean label?

Yes. Vegetable cellulose capsule, no animal ingredients, no gluten, no soy, no dairy. No artificial fillers, no proprietary blends, no sweeteners.

Any interactions I should know about?

If you take prescription medication or have a liver condition, talk to your healthcare provider before adding any new supplement — including this one.
